SCORM Assessment Attempts

Hi Docebo Community! We are new to Docebo and just went live today! We have built all of our assessments in Storyline and imported them as SCORM files into the course/learning plan. These assessments allow unlimited attempts. However, we track the impact of those by looking at the first attempt scores. We are struggling to find a way to view this data either in the product or in our Learn Data Snowflake experience.

Has anyone successfully been able to view their learner’s multiple attempts on assessments that are uploaded as a SCORM file?

First question I have -- did you use SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004?

If you used SCORM 2004 you can view answer details on the reports tab of the course, then click on training material statistics…. keeeeeep clicking to drill in and see the actual responses.

I have not figured out how to get to that data via “new reports” or API, if you figure that out, please share.

Thank you. I believe we are using SCORM 2004 and can see the detailed report on the question statistics. We just can’t get insight into the attempt statistics. Ideally we want to see the what learners earned on their first attempt when the assessment has an unlimited attempt setting set on it.

Congrats on the golive

@MHague - hi - so it gets interesting - you are right you wont be able to get a statistic of something like viewed 2 times. But you do have a last accessed date as a piece of data and you can separate out the data from a single attempt to more than one attempt.

Also the report should show you question/answer level responses…so it should collect all of it (like attempt number 2) if a person misses a question and then does a second run with it. Now this can get interesting based on the when/how the scorm course submits data.

If this point gets to be a little sticky for you all? I know what you are after - you are looking for a gradebook type of report…there is a scorm authoring system that we use that has its own LRS running and it is holding onto alot of that key data….let me know if you are interested - shoot me a DM and I can show you a tool we use.
