Tracking Email Notifications

We had a random email sent out from our LMS to every staff member. Is there a way on docebo LMS to trace who and why that email was sent out?

Hi there,

While the platform does not possess an Notification/Email log, if you have the access to an email address which can act as a dumping ground for all emails, you can utilise the following option below found in the Advanced Settings of the Platform under Advanced Options.

An email can be input here which is then CC’d into every email that goes out from the platform.

You can then review this inbox to track if emails went out to users. Please beware there may be limitations to this when dealing with thousands of emails (if volumes are that high in your platform).

Please note that there are limits to using the “CC”option due to limitations on mail servers and software like Outlook that places limits on how many emails can come thru a single email account so it’s not a be-all solution…

@mchapwanya Are you able to trace it back from what’s in the email? Could your IT team look up the IP /DNS data to tell you where it came from? Do you have enrolment rules in place that may have been activated? Last, you could try opening a ticket with support to see if they can assist.
