I have enrolled over 500 people into a course a few days ago and many of them did not realize they were enrolled. I set up a new email notification that will “email users when they are enrolled in a new course” however they have already been enrolled days ago. Do i have to re enroll them all for them to get the new email notification?

To send the automated notification, yes it only triggers when they are enrolled. You can send a one-off e-mail from the Enrollment tab on the course if you don’t mind it being a little different.
You can elect multiple employees (not sure how many at once) and then use the Choose Action button and there should be a Send E-Mail button.
