Varying numbers of Enrolled Users?

Hello,

I have been having a play around today and noticed that when I log in as a test manager

(with the below PU access:

ILT/Courses/Learning Plans - View

Enrolment - Create, View and Edit)

and view the enrolments within a Session, the numbers of enrolled users mirror that of the amount of their staff that are enrolled in the session not the actual capacity of the session?

When I logged back on as myself, a Superadmin not manager, these Session were fully booked and showing as such?

Is this normal? I don’t think I have seen this mentioned anywhere before.

Hello @EGBIGGS,
I’m not sure is this precisely mentioned anywhere in the knowledge base but the difference between a Power User profile and Superadmin user is that the Superadmin profile has the most widest visibility into everything in the system compared to a PU profile.

Some times it is difficult to track which permission limitation effect to what details. Therefore, I think that is what you found out here by comparing the two user profiles.
If somewhere it’s mentioned, its most likely here.

Hi @EGBIGGS , @Olli-Pekka Haataja is correct. PU permissions decide what a user can do. PU assigned resources decide what a PU can “see”.

I can give a PU permission to create reports on all courses, learning plans in all of the catalogs. But if I do not assign any users, groups or branches the PU is not able to see results.

Unless the PU is assigned all branches and sub-branches there will be a difference.

It does sound correct as the PU will only see the number corresponding to the users they can actually see and have access to.

you can turn on this option to see if it helps to show the real number of users

Advanced Settings > Users >

Fab thank you! This fixed my issue :)

My next hurdle is, do you know if there is a way that PUs can enrol staff into sessions but not be able to “disenrol” them?

When playing with the options, it seems all or nothing!!

Maybe try removing the “edit” option from the Enrolment persuasions to see if that disables the ability to unenroll.

I had my doubts. Seems to somehow linked to being Abel to enrol. Might be worth opening a ticket with support to see of they can offer a better solution.
