I’m trying to update certification records in our system. Here’s the scenario:
- We currently have 1 certification (DOT General Awareness).
- We need to split the records into 2 (DOT General Awareness; DOT Function Specific)
What I’ve already done:
- Audited the system to pull a report of existing certified Team Members.
- Split the report into 2 (to separate out the two records).
- I uploaded the new certification record and awarded the Function Specific certification.
My Question:
What is the best way to remove the users who have DOT General Awareness, without removing the course completion (the lessons are from the CR as those are pre-reqs for the new certification)?
My thought is that I need to create a new course for the DOT General Awareness (as anyone in the existing course is being assigned that certification), then I would upload the files and add the certification to the new course and remove it from the old course, but I wanted some insights from other experts before I do it in case my logic has a major flaw in it.
