Admin course notification

If you don’t want all the admins to receive the emails, your next best option is a bit convoluted but does work:
 

1. Create a dummy power user assigned to a dummy power user profile (the profile will be attached to only this special user). 
2. Depending on how your system is set up, this dummy user may be able to use the admin’s regular email address (but a different username) or some variation of the admin’s mailbox that is still allowable (for instance, in our company there are a couple different domain names that map to the same mailbox). 
3. If that isn’t possible on your system, then the dummy power user’s address will need to be one that forwards to the admin (or the admin has access to).  Depending on your security policies that might have to be set up by IT, or perhaps you have the freedom to create a Gmail address that can be set up to forward emails.
4. Set up a course completion notification that uses the dummy power user profile and is tailored to notify for the course you select.

Here’s why other choices don’t work:

1. Emails to admins go to all of them
2. The only other “third party” choice you have for notifications are instructor, admin, or manager.  If the course instructor choice doesn’t work for your use case, the power user solution is the only remaining one.

Hiya - can you walk me through why instructor won’t work? It works fine for us. We just make the key folks we want to notify the instructors for the course. The notification system does the rest when sending it to the role of instructor.
