For all of you who were members of the Product Design Group (PDG): New Analytics inside Learn (big thanks to all of you for participating!) we are excited to inform you, now that the PDG is closed, that we’re evolving this group into a brand new Product User Group (PUG).

We’re also making this a public group so any community member who uses Docebo Insights has access. I would like to welcome all Docebo Insights users to this dedicated Product User Group!

This group provides a collaborative space for L&D leaders, data analysts, and business decision-makers to connect, share knowledge, and exchange best practices for using learning data to improve performance and achieve key learning outcomes. It is a space designed for customers to learn from each other, share experiences, and discuss innovative ways to leverage analytics in their learning strategies.

Please note: this group is not the place to request support or technical assistance, therefore, if support or technical assistance is required, please open a support ticket or reach out to your Account Manager (AM) or Customer Success Manager (CSM).

Additionally, the Docebo Insights PUG will allow us to gather your feedback on new features and updates in an effort to help us continue to shape the future of Docebo Insights. By engaging with peers and contributing to the conversation, you'll help foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making across your organization.

To help the other users engage in your post, we suggest you to start your post by including your role, industry and how long you've been using Docebo, and then what you would like to share, specific to Docebo Insights (which could be one or more of the following):

  • a question
  • your experience
  • a success story
  • a tip/recommendation/advice

πŸ“’ We want to hear it all!

If you have feedback on current features and any new capabilities, feel free to share them as well, but please remember to search the Feature Roadmap and existing Ideas portal before submitting a brand new idea

Thank you for being a key part of our Insights journey! We can’t wait to see the conversations and collaborations between our customers. Here’s to learning, sharing, and growing together. 🌟

Did this post help you find an answer to your question?

Thanks @raisa.holmo

I do have a question about the filters and sharing dashboards...it seems that when we share custom dashboards with other, the filter values we add are not saved and the user who is given permission to see the dashboard must input their own filter values...not sure where the value aadd is if they always need to set their own filters...is this a known issue and/or are their plans to have sticky filters for the custom dashboards? This would be very beneficial. Thank you.

@lrnlab While I think this could be a value and maybe our product team will consider, my guess is these filter values are cached browser specific at the moment, so I am not sure how easily it would be to β€œpass them along” (For example think about how you filter a screen like user management or course management now, while those are session specific per user, we don’t allow you to share those same filter version with any other Super Admins/Power Users)

A couple of thoughts...

  • In regards to Power User- What if the PU you are sharing with can’t see those same filters (ex: they are not assigned a branch essentially that you filter for- then making the filter persistent would essentially β€œbreak” filtering or give an false expectation. β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹
  • If a dashboard is pre-filtered- the user you are sharing would most likely need to know to β€œclear” all filters if they want to look at anything beside the use case you filtered for to begin with, so if we ever give the ability to filter featured dashboard we would likely want to keep this in mind
  • Please be aware that Advanced Insights does allow for some persistent filter to be added at the visual level when creating custom dashboard with custom visual. When you share the dashboard the functionality you are desiring is the case

thanks @gerrodhudson

Our approach is to create a custom dashboard for our compliance courses that ALL our PU’s have access to so the fact that we cannot create a pre-filtered dashboard makes it less useful if we now need train the PU on how to use Insights, etc. rather than just having them open in View mode and seeing the data they need to see. Fussing with filters on several levels will only make this tool slightly more useful than reports. IN addition, it is likely the tour admins will not take the time to install filters, etc each time they want to see the dashboard so the adoption rate will probably be very low.

Why make this very important feature only available with the Advanced version? Seems like it a basic feature...for example, I can send a pre-filtered link from a catalogue search and it will work for anyone...Insights should work the same way regardless of the version (free or paid)…

Hoping this will be reviewed and updated on the basic version soon. Thank you.

Thank you Mark for sharing this with us!! This is very useful. You’re right, today customers cannot preset filters before sharing a dashboard and we have come across this request from other customers.

Although we don’t have a confirmation on this sharing feature yet, this is a feature already under consideration. Our goal is to have key sharing features that will impact adoption as part of Insights regardless of version, but we can’t confirm this information while this feature is still under consideration. We do understand the importance of it, and it’s noted :)

To give you some context, this is already possible in Advanced Insights because within the advanced version of Insights customers have access to the full authoring mode, which allows some persistent filters at the visual level when creating custom dashboards with custom visuals.

@raisa.holmo You said the feature is still under consideration. I don’t see it in the ideas portal yet. Can you provide a link?

Thanks @raisa.holmo good to know...we are piloting this now so we’ll see what the adoption rate is without the persistent filters...

When confirming about this feature with the product team, they mentioned that it’s already on their radar based on feedback from the beta. The feature is not yet on the ideas portal, but once it is, I will share the link here for you to add comments.

For now, I would strongly recommend that you submit this in the ideas portal as well: https://community.docebo.com/p/idea-submission-template

Thank you all for sharing this feedback!

That’s great Mark! It will be interesting to have this KPI on how this feature might impact adoption.

@lrnlab Go for it! I haven’t tried out the new idea portal yet, and honestly don’t have the mental bandwidth at the moment.
