How does this contest work?

 

Who says basketball gets to have all the fun? 🏀 We’re kicking off this contest March Madness style with two Shape submission brackets. If your Shape is selected during the first round, you will move on to the next bracket. So crack those knuckles, roll up your sleeves, and show us whatcha got! 

 

Each contestant submits one Shape per submission round.  Each submission round lasts two weeks. 

  • Round 1:June 14th until July 21st

  • Round 2: July 21st until July 28th 

 

From there, the top three Shapes will be chosen - and their creators win a gift card, Docebo swag, and more! 💰

 

Ok
 this all sounds great! But what’s the criteria you’re using to judge my Shapes? 

 

Shape submissions are ranked based on three criteria: 

 

  1. Creativity:  Think outside the box! The best thing about Shape is that you can be as creative as you’d like! No design chops required. Pro tip: all of our judges have a great sense of humor, so don’t be afraid to make us laugh. 

  2. Engagement: We are looking for you to tell us which Shape submission you like the most. So check out the Shapes your fellow contestants are giving, and give them a “like”. We’ll take the Shapes with the most likes into account. We’re all for self promotion, but please refrain from “liking” your own Shape submissions. 

  3. Accuracy: Part of your Shape submission must include a brief description that outlines what you were tryin to accomplish.. Please include your original source. Our Shape experts will determine if you met your goal.

During our trial, we’ve tried uploading a huge presentation about Recruitment Training to Shape. This was one of my favorite slides - very on point with the topic:

 

I am also excited to see all the new Shapes! To get us rolling, I thought I would share an example. Microlearning about microlearning, let’s get meta! :grinning:

I can’t wait to see what everyone creates! The best thing about Shape is you can create a Shape about anything, including this contest, which is exactly what I did. I’m sharing this Microlearning one that we used for the Shape webinar a couple of months back. I spent a bit more time to really customize it and make a quiz and everything, but it’s nearly 3min long and can fit for both learning and comms/marketing needs. :wink:

I put together a quick Shape about my newest hobby: food photography. I’ve pulled together five things that have helped me take better food pictures (in 15 mins). I’ve even snuck some of my own photography in :slight_smile: .

Fun contest! Here’s my submission. :slight_smile: I recently put together this simple Shape with guidelines to feature customer’s new uniforms on our social media platforms. It is a mix of images pulled from AI and some I uploaded during the editing. The source document is attached.

@eleonora.maggioni that Shape is so creative! I love how you used the male/female VO to create a sense of dialog in the video. Your combined use of Shape transitions + custom video here is a great example of how you can build original content while still leveraging the power of AI to make the creation process easier. Awesome job with this!!!

To say we all enjoyed watching these Shape submissions would be an understatement. You all crushed your submissions and made us laugh along the way. Without further ado, we’re pumped to announce the winners of the first ever Shape submission contest!

First place: @eleonora.maggioni  🎉Your Shape blew us out of the water. Your use of the male/female AI voice and combined use of custom videos and Shape’s AI is a great example of ways you can build original content while leveraging the AI. AMAZING JOB! 

 

Second place: @lbarsh  🎆Your example of using Shape to share internal guidelines was an excellent example of how Shape can send out bite sized, engaging content quickly. We loved the mix of Shape’s AI and your custom photos. BROVO! 

 

Third place: @GPeppmullerÂ Â đŸŸWe loved the way you leveraged Shape for an internal training course. Your transitions between scenes and use of the AI kept us all engaged. WELL DONE!
