vILT set-up for External Training Provider

If the external provider is the one setting up the teams meeting on their own teams instance, then you can use the link that they provide as the meeting link under the custom tool.  As long as it is their own meeting link, they can launch ther teams meeting as normal and not need to go through Docebo. 

If you are using your own teams instance with your own meeting link, you will need an admin, or who ever set up the meeting to get onto the meeting and make the external user the presenter once the meeting starts.  (this can all happen out side of Docebo).  Your learners will be the ones going to Docebo to get to the meeting link. 

If you want to have the external provider be listed as the instructor on the course/session within Docebo, they will need to have a profile in Docebo.

My plan is to use the external training provider’s meeting link in Custom Tool.  Am I correct in thinking that those enrolled on the vILT course do not need to have a Microsoft Teams invite and they just access the vILT course via their My Learning page?

 

Yep, they should just be able to access the meeting as long as they have the link.  In which case, Docebo is housing the link for the users behind the fancy “Join Session” button. 

I’m assuming since this is a custom provider, they have their meeting set up to allow anyone to join as long as they have the meeting link. (I know with like Adobe Connect you can restrict who can get into meetings or choose to allow anyone with the link to join).
