Docebo’s June 2021 Release is now available! 🎉
💙 What we’re excited about in this month’s release…
In this month’s release, we are pretty excited about introducing new cohort functionality. Encourage collaboration while supporting privacy and autonomy across groups.
Whether you are managing partner training, customer training or even an internal contest with teams, cohorts allow you to support all users within one channel, but limit social collaboration at the group level.
We get it, you are busy! We hope this helps reduce your workload when it comes to channel management. As a SuperAdmin and Expert, you can share content across all cohorts and see all content, comments and questions across cohorts, but you can rest assured that your cohorts will only see and share with each other.
As shown in our Release Readiness Webinar, there are a lot of creative use cases that will allow you to take advantage of cohorts for both internal and external use cases.
Other notable updates in this month’s release include:
- Skills going mobile
- Mobile Measurement Partner integration
Give your content a voice with Shape’s AI voice over. This new feature will allow you to either record your own voice over your Shape, or let AI do the work. Designed with international audiences in mind, voice over is available in multiple languages.

💡 3 ways these updates could help you:
1️⃣ Everyone loves a little competition…
Perhaps not intended by design, but let’s be creative! With cohorts you can get the internal competition flowing.
Picture it, you want to have a bit of a competition across the organization and a good deal of information needs to be shared back and forth between the contest director (your expert) and the various teams. There will be questions, comments, submissions (assets) and we want to encourage this collaboration within teams, but don’t want to let the other teams in on the action. Well, this is where cohorts can help! One competition, one channel and teams can participate in their own cone of silence!
For fun, once the winner is determined and the competition is closed, you can turn off cohorts and all teams can see how it came together. My competitive side is getting excited… If only I could think of a competition to run...oh, wait - Submit your best Shape!
2️⃣ Are you using the branded mobile app for customers?
My grade ten math teacher always told me to pay more attention in class… I swore math was not in my future. How wrong I was! Numbers matter, especially when you are spending your limited marketing dollars on a mobile app campaign.
Let’s just break this down like Ms. Tomiuk would have. You have spent $10 per social campaign (work with me, there was no social media when I was in high school) across three platforms with three unique ads each.
You have 630 new app downloads.
Do you know which campaign delivered the best result?
No, probably not (neither does Ms. Tomiuk).
But you can now! With the new Mobile Measurement Partners integration you can track which campaigns are working for you and which ones are not to better focus your time and ad spend.
3️⃣ Let me clear my throat! 🎤
A picture might be worth a thousand words, but voices matter. Create accessible content for visually impaired audiences by either recording your own voice directly on your Shape, or allow AI to do the work automatically generate a voiceover recording to go with your Shape.
📢 We want to hear from you!

📱 Go.Learn Version 3.6.0 and Branded Mobile App Version 3.6.0 are here!
In this update, two new features have been added to the mobile app:
-
The new Skills functionality is now available also for mobile! Your users can identify their skills and self-assess them, and the platform will then help them in filling their gaps and deepen their knowledge providing content related to their skills. Find out more.
-
For those using the branded mobile app, you can now measure the performance and conversion rate of the promotional campaigns that you have created for your app by activating the support for Adjust as Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP).
Furthermore, a handful of minor issues have been addressed to give you a better, smoother learning experience.
⚙️ Enhancements for the POST /learn/v1/enrollment/batch API
For those using the POST /learn/v1/enrollment/batch API, the endpoint no longer returns an error when uploading sessions having the same code, as long as they belong to different courses. It is still not possible to upload more than one session with the same code for the same course.
⚠️ HEADS UP! The learn/v1/external_training API will no longer upload activities for inactive users
For those using the External Training Activities App to report training activities performed outside their learning platform, please note that starting on September 23, 2021, the learn/v1/external_training API will no longer allow uploading activities for inactive users. The API behavior will be thus aligned to the platform interface behavior.
