Allow learner to retake a class after he/she completed the class.

We found our learners want to retake class after completed at least 1 class. Docebo does not show times and dates of sessions when the class is completed. We want a feature that allow the learner to enroll into a session even if he/she completed class at least 1 time.

Show more dates and times on this page.

Hi! This is currently a feature we have requested and submitted for future enhancements. I ran into this problem because of rehired employees taking the same “new hire” virtual classes and they were not able to. I unenrolled and re-enrolled them. I archived learning transcript in our reporting archives for retention. Good luck!

This would be great.

How do you archive transcripts? Some offline system or otherwise separate from Docebo?

Yes this is one of the many inherent problems with not tracking multiple attempts in the platform and the generally poor ILT functionality. For our annual renewals we have to go through and reset the status of learners from Completed back to Enrolled, then they can book onto a new session. No need to remove and add them back in (although that might be a quicker option actually).

yes - what should be a basic feature makes it very difficult for us.  For compliance training we use the retraining feature but that still relies on people navigating to the separate place to renew and book onto  a new session.  Being able to retake a course and get an updated completion date would be a welcome addition.

perhaps once they roll out “enrolment archiving” this will be allowed for ILTs

I haven’t needed to manage this as of yet in my current position, but due to previous experience in the compliance space know it’s coming. I don’t use ILT, but from an e-Learning course standpoint once we start dealing with annual requirements for ourselves or customers I can see simply creating new versions of courses and training materials (if needed - add locally in the course vs. sharing in the CLOR). This is how I’ve managed “retakes” in other LMSs in the past. You can simply modify the title slightly to distinguish them (e.g. Harassment Training 2022, Harassment Training 2023). This allows you to keep training history for all versions for legal/audit purposes if needed.

@Richard.Harknett That is what I would have done too. Unfortunately for us, we need to retain all completion records for audit in our industry (banking).

We use the Certifications function for any course that must be taken annually-Safety, Compliance, etc. We also do what @dave.cerrone does with training that requires an audit trail-create the same training with a new year. Both options allow for better reporting, for our company :-)

For ILT a little more clunky,

For archiving, a couple of things I have done is download their previous completion certificate and save it either in a file store some where like sharepoint. Or add it as an external training activity.  Even though the previous attempt at the ILT was not technically an external training activity, it is a way to save and archive their completion (and certificate if you have one), within your platform.

@Annarose.Peterson @lrodman Don’t forget your Channels. Our Safety Dept. stores the transcripts offline, and also loads the completion certs in their Safety Channel as Assets. This allows the users to access the certs on their mobile app...a huge help!

Yes, please implement this soon! It is absolutely mandatory that people can choose further sessions of a training themselves

Any word on when this feature will become available?
