It’s that time again! We are back with another edition of our monthly ‘What’s in your sandbox?’. This month, I’m eager to share all three of the new updates with you!

Before we go any further, here’s what you’ll find in your sandbox this month:

:eject: New Skills Dashboards for Managers and Employees

Over five years ago, I read an HBR article (If You’re Not Helping People Develop, You’re Not Management Material) and it spoke to me. I admit that I can get a little passionate about this topic, so I will try my best to stay focused because coming to all platforms in March (and available in your sandbox now!) is a new skills dashboard for both managers and employees.  Yep, 1:1s just got a whole lot more productive!

First up, for all the managers out there who believe that growing their team should be their biggest accomplishment, managers will see some changes to the My Team page that will help them engage and grow their team!

RzkVsJxOEh2MT0vhwrJdsiukMz06HKalD484PTUVEPcJ6p8NfNLpB7VkXN2Xl0LDOMV-Qg2H2RQo1LNCHivrBj2OBVm7fS3lM1vPy-4bF2gtMg-YJXe-XplPAQYKOBeDtB4Q_h_o

For each employee, they will see the number of self-assigned (and soon to be manager suggested) skills for each employee.

With five new skills widgets, managers can now:

  • Review employees skill competency levels at a glance

  • Suggest new skills

  • Suggest new content to help their employees grow

  • Nudge employees to focus on skills development

  • Suggest skill competency update to employees based on their observations

  • Review available formal and informal content available in your LMS to support skills development.

  • Review employees skills development over time based on completed learning.

Wondering about employees? Don’t worry, we got them too!

From the new skills dashboard your employees can now:

  • Review skill competency levels at a glance

  • Manager and AI suggested new skills

  • Review suggested content from managers

  • Review past skills development

  • Get insight to how much time they are dedicated to learning.

  • See skills improvement over time

  • Direct links to learning: manager recommendations, new content, most popular content by skill.

:watch:Working with Timezones in Docebo Learn

We gave you a sneak peek of this one in Feedback Request: Working with Timezones in Docebo Learn and now it’s here for official preview in your sandbox.

Time zone management just got a whole lot easier! This means you can spend less time worrying about learners selecting the right sessions and more time delivering an amazing experience :raised_hands:

  • Virtual sessions will always display in the user’s timezone.

  • In person sessions will always display both local time and the learner’s time when the user's time zone and the event time zone differ.

  • Time zone information will remain displayed with session details pre and post enrollment.

  • Where the admin has deliberately chosen not to allow users to choose their time zone by unflagging the related setting, the time zone will default to the time zone set by the event creator with the time zone indicated (ex. GMT +2:00 Central European Time - Rome)

  • Where the date changes due to time zone changes, that will be indicated with an alert.

  • We will always complete the time information with the full time zone information (ex. GMT +2:00 Central European Time - Rome), to avoid any kind of confusion

:ballot_box_with_check:Observation Checklists added to Task List

:bulb: This enhancement is the direct result of one of your ideas:

https://community.docebo.com/ideas/add-observation-checklists-to-the-my-tasks-widget-1321

Observation checklists are now available in the task list widget and, once configured, your learners can stay on top of it all! (no more excuses 😉)

Thanks for the shoutout! I’m excited for the enhancement to ILT. Now all I need is easier Google Calendar support for my learners.

Where the admin has deliberately chosen not to allow users to choose their time zone by unflagging the related setting, the time zone will default to the time zone set by the event creator with the time zone indicated (ex. GMT +2:00 Central European Time - Rome)

Question:
If admins set the Let the user choose their own time zone option to enabled, but also enable the Hide the Preferences tab in the My Profile area for users and Power Users option. Does the VILT event still automatically display the event in the learner’s local time by default when viewing the VILT event?

Reasoning for this setup is that we always want the local time shown to our learners when viewing VILT events by default, but we do not need the ability for learners to actually change their timezone as we have an integration that populates that data with accurate information.

@Loupetron agreed! Google Calendar is a huge talking point for us and it’s just not meeting the mark at the moment.

Outlook calendar options that don’t require hard to explain workarounds for multi-day events is huge for us!

This is great though. I literally had a discussion today about why and how time zones display so this will be great for our ILT users.

When will this be active in our platform? I see it in our sandbox, but want to know when it will be available in our production platform.

Hi @Swatson and @Allan, can you please confirm which feature you are referring to?

Hi @erin.brisson, When I posted my question 14 days ago, my production platform did not show the update to My Teams, however it now shows this.
