It’s that time again! We are back with another edition of our monthly ‘What’s in your sandbox?’. This month, I’m eager to share all three of the new updates with you!
Before we go any further, here’s what you’ll find in your sandbox this month:
New Skills Dashboards for Managers and Employees
Over five years ago, I read an HBR article (If You’re Not Helping People Develop, You’re Not Management Material) and it spoke to me. I admit that I can get a little passionate about this topic, so I will try my best to stay focused because coming to all platforms in March (and available in your sandbox now!) is a new skills dashboard for both managers and employees. Yep, 1:1s just got a whole lot more productive!
First up, for all the managers out there who believe that growing their team should be their biggest accomplishment, managers will see some changes to the My Team page that will help them engage and grow their team!
For each employee, they will see the number of self-assigned (and soon to be manager suggested) skills for each employee.
With five new skills widgets, managers can now:
-
Review employees skill competency levels at a glance
-
Suggest new skills
-
Suggest new content to help their employees grow
-
Nudge employees to focus on skills development
-
Suggest skill competency update to employees based on their observations
-
Review available formal and informal content available in your LMS to support skills development.
-
Review employees skills development over time based on completed learning.
Wondering about employees? Don’t worry, we got them too!
From the new skills dashboard your employees can now:
-
Review skill competency levels at a glance
-
Manager and AI suggested new skills
-
Review suggested content from managers
-
Review past skills development
-
Get insight to how much time they are dedicated to learning.
-
See skills improvement over time
-
Direct links to learning: manager recommendations, new content, most popular content by skill.

Working with Timezones in Docebo Learn
We gave you a sneak peek of this one in Feedback Request: Working with Timezones in Docebo Learn and now it’s here for official preview in your sandbox.
This enhancement is the direct result of not one but TWO of your ideas:
Time zone management just got a whole lot easier! This means you can spend less time worrying about learners selecting the right sessions and more time delivering an amazing experience .
-
Virtual sessions will always display in the user’s timezone.
-
In person sessions will always display both local time and the learner’s time when the user's time zone and the event time zone differ.
-
Time zone information will remain displayed with session details pre and post enrollment.
-
Where the admin has deliberately chosen not to allow users to choose their time zone by unflagging the related setting, the time zone will default to the time zone set by the event creator with the time zone indicated (ex. GMT +2:00 Central European Time - Rome)
-
Where the date changes due to time zone changes, that will be indicated with an alert.
-
We will always complete the time information with the full time zone information (ex. GMT +2:00 Central European Time - Rome), to avoid any kind of confusion

Observation Checklists added to Task List
This enhancement is the direct result of one of your ideas:
Observation checklists are now available in the task list widget and, once configured, your learners can stay on top of it all! (no more excuses 😉)
