Docebo v Evotix Assure

🤔I have just introduced Docebo LMS - and have had it less than a year.  The Exec are voicing that its reporting capabilities are 'disappointing' and that Evotix Assure reporting is so much better. Evotix is a Health and Safety management software system. A Director wants a 'Dashboard' to be able to see graphically what his department's training looks like, without having to pull off reports and having to manipulate them. Anyone have any thoughts on this, and how I can convince them that Evotix is a different beast! PM me if you wish.

Well the truth is that there is no perfect system so what you gain in reporting you might lose in another area.

Have you looked into Insights? You may be able to build exactly what the director is looking for, make them a power user, and assign it to them.

Alternatively, and this is what I do because Insights wasn’t a thing when I needed it, you could export your data to a dedicated data visualization tool like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Looker Studio and build whatever visualizations you need.

We’re a Google shop where I work so I use the Docebo API in a Google Apps Script to pull a CSV of a course report every 6 hours and copy over to a Google Sheet which acts as the data source for a Looker Studio dashboard. I haven’t hit the course limit for the report since I only need to report on training we require people to complete each year. Also, for the sake of cell limits, I have a separate user data report with fields like name and email address. The only shared field on course and data reports are username which is used to join the two data sources in Looker Studio.

@NHKLDBP - hi - so there are a few things that should be known…but first and foremost this is probably a good one for you and your Customer Success Manager to tackle together. They can help to provide solutions and answers that better fit your organizations needs.

  1. Manager’s insights are going to be coming along in October of 2025…which will be popping the bubble on Manager reports.
  2. I would say bring wisdom to the table of where it may be true that dashboards in other systems may look great, Health/Safety Mgmt Systems are usually tied to other details. In my travels, I have worked with large scale EHS teams. Working with them we integrated a report from our LMS so that the EHS System could do a better job at certification tracking. It actually helped with offloading an issue that I didnt want to tackle. Which was the LMS was in a mediocre place when it came to roaming certification tracking.
  3. Many systems that have a learning module say they can track learning, but not many of them do it particularly well. What is an add-on? Eventually sneaks up on you. It is a very different thing compared to working with an LMS.

Now I have to tell you - if “they” are looking at other systems? It may be that there is some budget - and with budget in the L&D space you can come elegant solutions. There are consultants that would be happy to support where you want to go.

Folks like those out at Eskillz like @aempson help with these things on a regular basis.Â
