Question

Can you create a test with just one answer?

I’m trying to create a test that is one question, with one correct answer, so a learner can get a badge based on historic achievement outside of the LMS. Is this possible? When I went to create a test for single-choice answers, it forced me to have at least two answer options. Thanks!

Hi,

I tried creating a question with one answer the way you describe, and it did not allow me to do it. I was able to do it with the extended text question. Not sure if that will work for you.

I have done this in the past using Yes and No for the answer choices and a very generic statement for the question field, such as, “I have completed this training module in its entirety”.

I’m not sure I understand what you are trying to do. Are you looking for a way to add  learning that exists outside of the LMS to their transcript? Give them a badge, for completing a class or some mix of the two?

I ask because I have been playing with reported learning/External Training and it might work for what you are looking to do

I am trying to create a way for a learner to get a badge with minimal effort on their part and without needing to create a power user with the ability to assign badges - sort of like a “claim your badge here” type of option as it’s being awarded for something they did historically outside of the LMS but we are recognizing them within the system with a digital badge. hopefully that makes sense.
