Course Certificate downloads before user finishes course

Issue: The user can download the course completion certificate without completing the course 

Fix attempts: Added a quiz and file download as prerequisites for course completion. 

Also contacted tech support with Docebo: they said it had something to do with

That is interesting. Can you make a basic certificate and assign it instead of the custom one and use that to confirm?

Yes, I tried the sample certificate as well as our other templates and had the same issue.

 

Patrick just helped me via zoom. The issue was all user error. I had reset the course elements but not the enrollment so the certificate could be downloaded regardless of the course elements being completed.

You don’t happen to have a end of course marker enabled on one of them? Just a shot in the dark.

@lrodman All users, all courses 

 

I don’t think it’s https either - it’s something to with how the certificate was coded/loaded from my understanding but I am not the person who did this on the backend and they are ooo

@Bfarkas end of course marker? I am not sure, I did select yes to “End Objective Marker” under Course review and it is not hidden

Well Patrick sent me a private message we got a zoom and he suggested we just duplicate the course - problem solved. It was a bug within the original courses

Hey! I am realizing that did not actually fix the problem, when we duplicated the course it just kicked out the certificate. When I add the certificate back, the same issue so I think the root of the problem is how the certificates were coded and loaded.
