Notifications & Automations

Hi EveryoneWe are going through all our notifications and enrolment rules.I was just wondering, rather than looking at each one individually, is there a way of exporting their contents to a CSV or other file?I have had a look through the menus and custom reports and have not found anything. I assume the answer is no but I thought I would ask as it will save us a lot of time.

Is there an option to turn on sound to make the bell ping when a notification comes through?

Happy Friday all.I’m trying to create some accountability workflows. We have a lot of Power Users with varying competencies, & I’d like to clamp down on errors. What I would like to be able to do is create a notification that is triggered when a course is created, that is ONLY SENT TO THE COURSE CREATOR. Just a reminder to check on a couple of key items that are often missed.I don’t see a way of doing that, but maybe I’m missing something. If anyone has any suggestions on how this could be done, I would sure be grateful. Thanks!

Hey Community!Does anyone know something about those notifications?I couldn’t find anything in the Knowledge Base. Thanks!

In our company, multiple Power Users from the same branch share course management using shared categories: whoever has the category assigned can manage all courses within it operationally, without needing the superadmin. The issue: enrollment approval notifications don't follow this same logic. They're only sent to the PU who created the course, or to whom the superadmin manually and individually assigned it — the shared category isn't enough, even though it grants full visibility and management over the course.Result: every time a PU creates a new course, to get the notification to the other PUs in the same category, the superadmin would need to assign it to them individually, and repeat this every time. With 200+ PUs across 60+ branches, this isn't sustainable. This feels like an inconsistency: for users, a shared branch is enough; for courses, a shared category is enough; but for notifications, an individual manual assignment is required. It would make more sense for PUs who already m

Hello Docebo Community, has anyone encountered this week an issue with Notification shortcode course_name no longer having a url to the course?Thank you,Lance

Recently learned that we will no longer receive support from our Marketing team, who up until now would send out emails to our customer base to alert them to major new courses. So I’m considering using the Newsletter feature in Docebo. However, we have over 60,000 users. I just reviewed the knowledge article for the newsletter feature and it says anything over 1,000 users is not advised as it could be marked as spam. I don’t understand why that would be, if we’re limiting the sending to blocks per hour, which is how Docebo does it.Has anyone used it for large numbers successfully? If not, can anyone recommend an easy to use, quick to learn third-party email service that isn’t too expensive? : (

Hi everyone, I’ve recently started to use Learning Evaluation after ILT sessions, and we’re getting some feedback from colleagues that they’re not completing them due to not realising that they’re coming from us.  Is there a way to change the body of the emails sent by Learning Evaluation from within Docebo? Or are they set by default and can’t be changed? Thanks!

We're looking to customize observation checklist notifications by assigning different notifications to different checklist types. However, it appears that the system only supports a single notification applied universally across all checklists. Is this a current platform limitation, or is there a configuration we might be overlooking that would allow for customization?

Just wanted to ask if there was a way to send an email to every one of my users? It is not triggered by an event only information. For example the recent changes to the platform.I understand I can do a newsletter but they are not saved so if I send it once to check how it looks I need to redo it which means it could change because of adding pictures. (Unless there is a way to save a newsletter and I will gladly take any instruction on that) I don’t want it to be internal as I wanted people to know about it before they opened the platform.Any advice would be gladly taken.Thank you

Hello, This is probably a silly question, but if a person had two roles, and two managers, but then leaves one of the roles, how do I stop that manager (of the now vacant role) receiving training notifications please?  Thanks in advance.

Hi all! New to Docebo here. I am trying to find a way that we can set up the weekly Digest so that certain courses and Learning Plan reminders are sent to users who are enrolled. But those reminders are NOT sent to anyone who self-enrolled, they are only sent to users who were assigned a course as part of a required Learning Plan. Is this possible?

We'd like to start implementing the "Learner Has Yet to Complete a Course" notification, but we're unsure how it behaves for existing enrollments. If we add this notification to a course today, will it also be sent to users who were enrolled in the course previously (for example, users enrolled two years ago whose enrollment status is still In Progress)?Or will the notification only apply to users who are enrolled in the course after the notification has been configured? We're trying to understand whether enabling this notification could trigger emails to existing in-progress learners or if it will only affect future enrollments.

I found ways to automate based on course completion, but we have a situation where completing a course grants a certification that expires. As long as the certification is active we want learners to be in a group that has specific catalog access. when the certification expires, their access should also expire, but they would still have course completion.  Is there a way to create an automatic group enrollment rule based on a certification being active?

We are wanting to create one email notification that goes out to the manager and in that email it would list all of the users who report to them on courses that need to be completed in the platform. We are aware of these two email notifications “Digest: Learning has yet to complete a course” and “Learner has yet to complete a course” can go to the manager. However, on these notifications the manager will receive one email per user and this is not what we want. Our managers do have access to the “My Team” in the platform and we know that they can see their team members and it will show if the user(s) are overdue on a course and they can see their User Summary Report. Looking at “Reports,” we would not want to create a manual report for each manager to see their team members and the courses that still need to be completed. We do use the direct manager (#4 Team Members) when a person is created, however, direct manager is not available to select under User Fields at the end of creating a re

We have specific direction in our “User created by Admin” notification that goes to users so they can log in and download the app. It has their credentials and such, but we just launched so it didn’t go perfect with importing users. We have a lot of email updates to make and such, so after we make them we wanted to resend that notification. Is there any way to do so? Nevermind! i just saw the activation notification option

Hello,Our platform has several hundred user accounts that have never logged in. Before we deactivate them, I wanted to potentially leverage the "User has not logged in (in a specific time period)" notification. It is currently turned OFF.The default for the notification appears to be seven days after the event or account creation. If I change the period to 60 or 75 days and then enable the notification, will Docebo go back and process accounts with those specific time parameters? As we move forward, the plan is to turn the notification on with a standard 7-day window. Can I also have two versions of the notification running? One version runs at the 7-day period, and then another takes the same action but at a later period, say 60-days after account creation.

My organization has mostly used the LMS for our professional population, who have company emails.  We will be starting to have more of our plant associates consume training, but they do not have company emails and I can’t have notifications fire to personal emails.  I am mainly concerned with the course completion notification that has ‘all courses’ as its filter. The only workaround I can come up with is to create a global group that filters out users with personal emails and adding that as the user filter.I am also working with my integration team to see what options may exist to filter out personal emails from the HR feed, but not sure how that will pan out.Would love to hear some thoughts!

Is there a way to format the Digest notifications (for admin only) so that rather than just a list of text, it can display as a table?I’ll add that I did put a table in, but it creates an individual table for each person, which doesn’t really help.

Hello community!I have a question regarding the outlook integration with Docebo. We give learners the ability to RSVP to their outlook event invites. Sometimes if an admin has enrolled a learner, but that learner has a conflict they might RSVP “NO”. To your knowledge is there a report or notification that we can trigger to notify admin of this response?Currently it appears that its only possible by manually looking at the enrollment lists for each event.

Did I do something wrong in my setup, or is this expected behavior in Docebo?I enrolled staff in a new course and then used the “Send email to enrolled learners” option from the Enrollments page. I CC’d our leaders so they’d have visibility that the communication went out. What I did not expect was for Docebo to interpret “send email” as:“Send one email per learner, individually, copying the leaders every single time.”Shortly after sending, my CC’d leader came over to show me her inbox, which was receiving a separate copy of the same email for every enrolled learner. All 300 of them. Individually delivered. Is this the intended behavior for this function, or is there a setting I’m missing to prevent CC’d recipients from receiving a copy per learner instead of a single message?Within minutes, three other CC’d recipients also reached out asking me to “make it stop,” and I had to explain that, unfortunately, there was no way to interrupt it once sent—we all just had to ride it out together.

Hi,How to disable sending email notifications to the enrolled learners when updating a course or a session?Every setting I change in the session, enrolled learners receive an email alert. And same at the course level. Please help!Thank you

Hi,How to avoid sending email notifications to the enrolled learners when updating a course or a session?Every setting I change in the session, enrolled learners receive an email alert. And same at the course level. Please help!Thank you

Hello,I am testing notifications to trigger 1 hour after the deadline under the “Learn has yet to complete the course” I set a 1 day validity since enrollment and a soft deadline. I have waited a 1 day and 2 hours and the notification has yet to trigger. I have read that editing notifications might reset the timers or that notifications can be delayed due to job batches but no clear answer.

I need to update over 600 users with new email addresses and usernames.  I can do this via the CSV upload, but it doesn’t seem to trigger the User Modified notification I have set up to let the users know this has been done.Does anyone know how I can easily notify these users that their username/email address has changed? Thanks
