Skills Intelligence

I am currently exploring skills and trying to set up some test skills based on one of the job families at my company. I added about 30 skills to the platform catalog and have not assigned them to skill sets yet, but I added these skills quite some time ago and would like to go back and read the descriptions but can’t figure out how. Is there a way to read a skill description without having to click on the “add” button, search the skill, read the description and cancel out?

I’m working to understand how we can leverage the Skills feature in my organization.  I see that I can create skill sets, and add skills to the skill sets.I see also that I can create an AI based channel that will auto-fill according to the skills associated with courses or external content (via the internet). Two things that I am having trouble with - There is a Platform Catalog, and then I see a catalog with my company name. But I cannot seem to add anything to the catalog with my company name.  When the learner logs in and is asked to build their skills profile the first thing they are presented with is a list of jobs to choose from. Where can I find the jobs list, and can I edit that? If I’m going to use this in conjunction with our career planning programs, it would be helpful to be able to put our own job titles in for an optimum user experience.

I have searched the community and DU to try and find my answer, but I’ve not been successful.  We are looking to implement the use of Docebo Skills. When I logged in, I was prompted to select my skills. I have gone into Skill Management and published the skill sets we want to use, I have made sure the My Skills is on the main menu and I tagged courses and assets with those skills and I am still not seeing the My Skills option on the menu. What am I doing wrong? What am I missing for this to populate for learners?Thank you in advance for help!

We are just implementing Docebo as our organizations new LMS. We would like to find a solution for our current onboarding process. The process involves spreadsheets that are standardized for specific company roles while also being customizable by managers to add specific training based on location, business need, etc. The document has several tabs and includes required training courses, documents, resources, videos and technical training that the employee works on over the first few weeks/ months of employment. A manager can check on their progress through an integrated dashboard. I know there are several elements that we can utilize in Docebo to mimic this process- learning paths for the standard role training, channels to house accessible training, links to documents, checklists to assist etc. My first question is:Is there a way to have learning paths AND custom curated content (assigned by managers) all in one so that we can provide a solution similiar to the current one where there

Hi Docebo Community,I’m trying to better understand how the AI-driven skill suggestion works in relation to job positions within the platform. For example, when entering the job position “Payroll Analyst”, the system suggests some skills that seem quite irrelevant, such as “Food Counter Management”. This kind of mismatch raises questions about how the AI determines which skills to suggest for a given role. All skills set are available to everyone   All custom skills Connected with AI based channel Job Position = Payroll ExecutiveJob Position = Payroll Executive  Could anyone with knowledge of the underlying AI logic or recommendation engine explain: How does the AI associate skills with job positions? What data sources or algorithms are used to generate these suggestions? Is there a way to customize or improve the relevance of skill suggestions for specific job titles? I’d appreciate insights from anyone familiar with the AI suggestion mechanism behind this feature. Thanks in advance

Would it be possible to add back more skills in the “Configure Your Skills” window to allow users to view more skills to select? It now displays ten skills and allows users to select up to ten skills, so it is actually10 out of 10..not offering enough options for selection. There was a time by “error “more skills are displayed for selection and we have captured the screen, is there any way to configure this?  Before Now it becomes unfavourable.

Hi!I can't figure something out with Skill Management. Does anybody know if it is possible to force assign skills to learners so that they don’t have the popup window to choose skills from? We’d like to be able to disable the suggested jobs list. Basically, in the usecase I came across, we need to have a very limited set of skills, already assigned to the users, so they can auto-evaluate their skill level only on those skills. When we try, there is always the possibility for users to add random jobs and then it populates with irrelevant skills… I’m not sure that the product allow for this yet. Any ideas? Thanks!!

I have just created a Skill Set for Talent Management and added a set of skills to it. Now what? How do I connect the Talent Development Skill Set with the users who need it? Or am I supposed to do something else with Skill Sets?

I’m currently trying to get my head around skill sets and visibility. We’ve set up the skill sets so that certain users can add the skills. We are currently doing a trial with certain departments to see how they use the system. The all skills skill set is unpublished. Some of the skills are not published to sets however super admins can see them and add them to a course if they want to. Some skills are not published in a skill set and as it turns out the AI can add them to a course. If the skill set is not available to a user then they can still see the skills if they are associated with a course or an asset. So my question is, how do you limit visibility to only the skills in published skill sets and how do you find out if there is a skill not published in a skill set what it is? Currently I have an API that tells me if a skill is not in a skill set and I then have to search for that skill in the skills managment system to see what it’s asociated with. Very long and tedious process, fo

We are still fairly new and hadn’t yet implemented the Skills functionality. We were ready to try it, but are running into issues as it doesn’t function in the way we were led to believe and wanted to be able to leverage.Use case goal: A manager (poweruser) thinks “I really want Jane Doe to improve her skills related to all things warehouse. I wonder what courses she should take?” What we thought: We thought we could have a button on a page for “Search for courses based on Role or Skill” and have it link to a channel we had setup a channel based on the Warehouse skillset. The manager could then view all the courses associated with that skillset. The problem: The manager (poweruser) can only see the skills associated with them, so if skills in the Warehouse skill set aren’t assigned to them, they won’t see any courses in the “Warehouse” channel.Possible workarounds that come to mind for me:Assign all skills to managers so they will see all courses on the channels. Enable skill management

Is there any way to prevent users adding skills to the platform and force them to choose form the skills or skillsets that administrators provide? We’re a large organization and we launched today. I started the day with a beautiful curated skillsets, directly related to our competencies for talent and performance management, paired with content.I’m ending the day with chaos. I have 5 versions of “effective communication” - only 1 of which maps back to our channels, courses, and content. I need to stop the madness ASAP!

For example, I work in the real estate industry so I don’t have users who are building and maintaining nuclear power plants or managing textile manufacturing or newspaper print shops.

Recently, I noticed on one of my users Skills Dashboard, there are several AI suggested skills that are not relevant to his job at all. The skills suggested are things like Airport Security, Airport Maintenance. I have not been able to find where this information is pulling from in Docebo. I have only seen this with one user. Has anyone come across this issue?

Based on what I’m reading in the help guides I should be able to edit skills by clicking the ellipses in the skill’s row.  However, I’m not seeing the ellipses to do so.  I only see the unassign option. Is this a change in skill management or am I missing something?

I am exploring the use of Skills in our platform, and am wondering what this icon/button is supposed to do:What does this icon do?When I click on it, nothing happens except it behaves like a button.Does anyone have experience with this?

Is it possible to manage the jobs lists (part of Skills Management)?I’d like to narrow down the list of jobs and then associated skills relevant to how we use the platform with those jobs?

I hope everyone is having a Happy New Year! This year I am hoping to optimize functions in Docebo and customize the appearance. What would be the best thing to learn how to do that? I see a lot of amazing things you can do with CSS. Do I need to learn anything else with that? I also would love to learn how to work with APIs. Do you have any course recommendations for either of these? I am thinking of finding a course on LinkedIn Learning as that is easily accessible for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The Skills functionality in Docebo looks great but as global organisation we speak a variety of languages and large numbers (approaching a majority) of our colleagues little or no English. Skills are only available in English at the moment, would anyone else benefit from being able to unlock the power of skills for their non-English speaking users?

This morning the ‘my skills’ pop up has started appearing for our users.  this has never happened before.  how do we stop this from happening?

Does anyone know when Custom Skills are coming? Heard talk of it a while back. Really excited for that one.

Lots of external articles and videos that the AI is pulling is not useful to us.   Instead of looking everyday to find and manually add the ones we don’t want is there a list I can find or add to so I can have greater control over the content it is showing the users.
