Bot Prevention Strategies in Docebo – What Has Worked for You?

Hi everyone

We’re currently exploring ways to strengthen bot prevention within our Docebo LMS and would love to hear what others in the community have implemented.

Have you experienced issues with bots or automated sign-ups/logins in your instance? If so, what controls or strategies have you put in place to prevent or reduce this (e.g. CAPTCHA, SSO restrictions, domain blocking, rate limiting, etc.)?

Any lessons learned or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :-)

On our past LMS we had a BIG problem with bots. Since we moved over to Docebo, we require a code to Register (most of our Learners are internal or manually uploaded). This has prevented ALL bot activity on the platform. I understand that may not work for all Admins.

We have the same issue here.

We’d want

  • Blacklisting. Natively, Docebo only has whitelisting - not blacklisting :(We’re building a Docebo Connect automation to blacklist known forbidden domains.
  • Activation via email validation (ie to make sure the email they log even exists). I have no idea how to do this.
  • Captcha -

I just upvoted an old request for a CAPTCHA logic (which I recommend you also upvote :)
