Hi everyone,
I wanted to flag an issue with Wistia's recent update to its public share link format and see if anyone has found an automated workaround.
Wistia has transitioned public share links from the classic .../medias/[10-digit-ID] structure to a secure .../s/[12-digit-token] structure (e.g., https://[subdomain].wistia.com/s/[12-character-token]).
The issue is that when creating new video learning objects inside Docebo LMS using the URL method, Docebo's link validator flags these new /s/ URLs as an "Invalid Link."
The only workaround I've found so far is completely manual: going into the Wistia dashboard backend while editing, pulling the old 10-character alphanumeric ID from the browser bar, and rebuilding a classic legacy URL structure (e.g., changing it back to https://[subdomain].wistia.com/medias/[10-character-id]). Once changed back to the /medias/ format, Docebo accepts it perfectly.
Is anyone else running into this? Have you found a way to force Wistia to generate the older format natively, or is there a setting in Docebo to update its oEmbed/URL validation parameters so it recognizes the new secure Wistia paths?
