Has anyone managed to solve the conundrum of how to renew a subscription transaction such that fields remain editable?

Some of our customers access our content through subscription bundles which renew annually.

We’re encountering 3 challenges here:

  1. when you renew all the fields except the ‘Note’ (which is apparently mandatory but meaningless) can’t be edited.
  2. the dates for the subscription period are adjusted by one day ie if the original transaction expires on 30 June 2021, then the renewal expires on 29 June 2022.
  3. our prices increase each year but ‘renewing’ a subscription transaction appears to prevent any change to the original transaction, including the price.

This leaves us have to create new subscription transactions from scratch for each renewal to give effect to the price increase or ‘Edit Info’ on the existing transaction.

The trouble with the 2nd approach is you can’t do it until the day of expiry otherwise they will lose access in the interim - this means we have to do 60-100 manual edits of existing transactions at month-end.

I’m fairly new to Docebo and I’m thinking we can’t be only folks who apply price increases so someone must have figured this out.

Does anyone have a good process for this?
