Is anyone using Skillsoft Percipio content via AICC? We are seeing some odd behavior.

We have just found out via a learner report that our AICC courses are appearing to open with progress intact then refreshing and wiping all recorded progress. We have replicated the behavior so are pretty concerned.

Ultimately trying to find out:

  1. Does anyone else use this content vendor this way
  2. Are you seeing anything odd.

Any help would be useful, this is a big deal.

Thanks,

Gordon

yes we use this content as well with AICC communication but have not had any reports of issues...when did this start? have you been in touch with SS?

Just noticed in the last hour - have been testing to replicate and reaching out to SS now.
Clip in the zip will demonstrate - if it survives upload.
Cheers!

It appears that each course access is being treated as a brand new start and recorded as such on the Skillsoft/Percipio side. Attached is from one user’s Percipio record.

Apparently there was a known issue with AICC tracking and a hotfix was released June 7.

Sadly it looks like it has not worked for us.

We had this issue over the last few weeks but it was resolved by the hotfix mentioned above.

Seems the hotfix is not addressing our ills. I accessed again this morning (6/12) and upon attempting to resume a course I again briefly saw my current progress in the course UI before the window refreshed and all visible progress vanished.

Hope it is just us - obvs wish it was not happening :-)  -  and recommend a quick double check on your side to be sure.

UPDATE--  We have a temporary resolution to our issue that has at least stopped the problem happening for now.

Our Percipio instance had “Allow users to complete the same course multiple times” toggled to on.

This is not a setting that is available to us and is supposed to function by providing the learner with the option to create a new course instance to complete when they open an already completed instance of the course. A good option to have active.

For some reason the system was creating a new instance of every started course, complete or incomplete, without even prompting. In practice, we briefly saw our current progress in the course before the page refreshed, the system quietly archived our in-progress instance and started a new one as if we were fully starting over.

Toggling this setting to off has allowed normal functionality to return, though we remain keen to have multiple completions work. Next step cleaning up the data records.

It is worth noting that a good support experience was had from both Docebo and Skillsoft as we tried to figure this out and both are continuing to look at resolving the overarching issue.
