Restore legacy navigation

Hi everyone,

I opted into the new navigation interface thinking it would make usability easier, but it has been quite the opposite. I am trying to revert back to the legacy navigation (knowing Docebo is going to force users to the new interface July 2026), but I am currently in the middle of implementing a course and do not have capacity for the learning curve right now. The legacy interface was much easier for me to navigate, especially because the admin items were all in one place. I am a super-admin.

I found the Docebo instructions for restoring legacy navigation, but I am not seeing the options referenced. The instructions say to:

1. Click the rocket icon in the left sidebar to open the Launch Pad page. I don’t see a rocket anywhere, so I searched and went on the Launch Pad page.

2. Then it says to locate the New Navigation card, but I didn’t see it.

3. From the enablement dropdown menu, select Restore legacy navigation.

4. Confirm.

The issue is that I do not see a rocket icon in the left sidebar. I tried searching for “Launch Pad” and was able to get to what appears to be the Launch Pad page, but I still do not see the New Navigation card or any option to restore legacy navigation.

I also tried asking Harmony, but it was unable to process the request.

Has anyone successfully reverted back to the legacy/classic navigation recently? If so, can you please share the exact steps or where the restore option is located?

Thank you!

Hi @kieshapaul

Its definitely frustrating. You can find the rocket in the bottom left corner of your page. When you click on the rocket, the new navigation will show at the top of the page and you can click the dropdown to restore legacy navigation.

Ughhh thank you!!!! Yes, the IU is horrible. July 2026 is not going to be very fun once we’re forced to use it.

Thank you so much!

Happy to help!  Agreed, its not as intuitive and will take a lot for our admins to get used to. They should at least allow the favorites menu to be customizable, that would help a little bit

Yea, took me almost an hour to figure things out completely. Worst decision they made ….

I have to say that I like the new UI and as a super admin, really happy with the admin menu being simplified and right there on the left-hand side and I don’t need to jump between the admin menu side and the UI. Also, we haven’t heard any negative comments from our end users either.

The product VP in Inspire told us that there is a update coming where you can change the order of the favourites bar so it’s on it’s way.

Our experience with the new UI has been very positive so far. Of course, it takes a little time to get used to it, but overall I find it quite intuitive. As a super admin, I like it and can easily find what I’m looking for.

As an alternative, you can also use the search bar if you’re unsure where to find something—I find that very useful.

We are considering turning the new UI on before the official go-live.

This change is awful! It’s like the developers/designers don’t actually use the platform...

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some feedback from our side following the rollout of the new navigation experience in our Docebo Learn environment.

Overall, this update was very much needed, and our team has had a positive experience so far.

🔹 What worked well

  • The reorganized menu structure improves clarity and makes navigation more intuitive
  • The grouping of features into areas like People, Content & Delivery, and Data & Analytics makes a lot of sense from a user workflow perspective
  • The updated layout reduces the feeling of “searching around” for key admin actions

🔹 Adoption experience

We enabled the new navigation for our Superadmins as part of a phased rollout, and:

  • Our team did not experience major difficulties finding core features
  • The transition required a short discovery period, but overall navigation felt logical
  • The structure aligns well with how admins think about their daily tasks

🔹 Harmony Search impact

One key factor that supported adoption was the improved Harmony Search experience:

  • It helped bridge the gap when users were unsure where something had moved
  • It reduced friction during the transition
  • It provided confidence that features were still easily accessible

🔹 Overall impression

From our perspective, the new navigation delivers on its goal:

Improving findability without changing functionality.

This significantly reduces the barrier to adoption and makes the transition easier to manage from a change management perspective.

Thanks to the Docebo team for delivering this improvement - it’s already making a positive difference in how our administrators interact with the platform.

Happy to share more details if helpful.

We’ve had a very positive experience with the new Docebo UI. Like any change, there was a bit of an adjustment period as users got familiar with the new layout, but overall the feedback has been very positive. The updated design feels cleaner, more modern, and easier to navigate. One of the biggest hits has been the Favorites menu. Having quick access to the tools and pages we use every day in one place has been a huge convenience and has helped make daily tasks more efficient. Overall, the new UI has created a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for our team.

It is certainly not intuitive...at all. Keep us updated please if you figure it out. I have pressed paused on a few things I wanted to do in the platform because I just get frustrated every time I try to do them.

Yes, there will be problem with new UI if there are new Custom CSS built on the existing page
