Question

iframe token passing

I work for a casino and we have built our own web app that simulates poker hands. We want to iFrame it into our Docebo platform. I was wondering if there is a way to pass the credentials of the signed in Docebo user directly to the iFrame so they don’t have to sign in again once they select the iFrame page? I tried looking through the documentation but I haven’t found anything yet.

When adding the iframe widget, you can click on “Advanced Settings” and that action will allow you to add the Salt secret key for your site.

When I go to “manage pages” and “create page” I am not seeing the advanced settings to input the salt secret.

Do not use the External Link page; select the Widget page then add the “iFrame” widget to that page only. You will see sizing options (see widget height px in the image above) and the iFrame should be able to fill up most of your page (depending on the content tit’s pulling from your source site)

This will allow us to push the Docebo credentials to the iFramed site so they do not have to sign in again?

An I frame is meant to host content from another site. The salt key is generated from the external site and it grants docebo permission to make it visible inside the LMS. Not sure you can push the user’s login credentials for their docebo account to another site. You would need something like a single sign on protocol but gain not sure how that could be built out. Sorry I think I read it wrong to being with.
