Legacy certification-manually awarded

Hi ​@swilson could you please confirm whether your inquiry pertains to marking a learner's certification as complete through External Training, or if you are referring to a different workflow?

If this relates to External Training, I can confirm that marking certifications complete via External Training is not currently supported in the new certification model. We plan to add support for external training to the new certification workflow as part of our 2027 roadmap.

Hello!  This is not through the external training.

Use case:

From Certifications or Retraining (aka. Legacy Certification), we add certifications manually by selecting the applicable certification and select ‘awarded to’ to manually add the certification.  

From within ‘awarded to’, select award users, search by users and select the applicable user.

Then depending on what type of certification it is, we add the issue date and most of the time there is not an expiration date so ‘always valid’ is selected.

The certification is not specifically tied to a course or learning plan.  

How will this process work with the new certification process within the learning plan?
