Morning - I did a double take twice...and now I feel like I should ask the crowd for a sanity check:

I was working with two manual groups (loaded via CSV) to be loaded into a course (a normal day)

One of the groups accidentally had been loaded with an identical listing of people. So I removed all users from it. I mapped another listing via CSV this AM. Let me illustrate it below.

91 for group 1

11 for group 2

My math gets me to 102 users that I will be enrolling (except if they have already mapped themselves to the course).

And just keeping things straight - incorrect count of users were put into “OPK-US” (91 of them).

When I select the users and go to enroll them:

Those look correct…..

- I get this back:

Either my math is failing or I am about to do something wrong

So - if someone can talk me off a ledge - is that happening with your instance?????

Ok - so I know what happened. Somehow the manual group did not refresh to the additions added.

I just went further and added another manual group. And it hasnt calculated itself as of yet.

In my case, learn from my mistake - I rolled the dice and told the system to enroll. It triggered duplicate emails going out to people. That ain’t kosher. In short - if you ever run into your enrollment counts not making sense. PAUSE. A common one that I have run into the past is trying to enroll a manual group I just built and the count records 0 enrollments.

My analysis - at busier times, your groups - even the manual ones - may need time calculate themselves.

I think there may be even more to this.

A better implementation is to leverage that you can directly enroll people into courses via CSV.

That (the lag) may cause an issue with other things - like a notification that was targeted only for a specific group.

Hi @dklinger,

I just noticed that the groups we have setup for automatic enrollments did not update this AM. As a result, none of our new hires from yesterday have received critical new hire training.

I checked the attributes of an employee and they should meet the requirements for a group. They weren’t appearing. I did add a period to the description and saved/refreshed it; only then did she appear in the group.

I suspect there is something bigger going on with groups between what you’re experiencing and my team.

@JasonHailer - thanks for your comment.

I have “been here before” with the platform. We were told to wait up to 24 hours when we have reached out to user support. I assert something doesn’t sound right there.

I’m going to report this as its own item in case others are having issues.

I am seeing the same thing as Jason. My automatic enrollment groups are not updating either. This behavior appears to go back to at least the 16th. I am seeing only one group being auto-populated and that is “All Active Users”.

10 New Hires since the 16th have not been added to their respective groups and therefore not been auto enrolled into their Compliance training courses.

Last time something similar was happening with reporting, it took 4 days to resolve.

Yeah - we reported it too. It is going to impact everything.

There are certain triggers that happen that force the refresh of groups during the overnight.

A group that I built yesterday had the right count this morning. But that is a pretty wonky behavior.
