Hey Docebo Community 👋,

We're thrilled to share a set of major accessibility updates that mark a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to making the Docebo platform more inclusive for everyone.

A New Accessible Navigation System

With the April 2026 release, we launched a new accessible navigation system — one of the most impactful accessibility milestones we've reached so far. It improves the experience for users who rely on assistive technologies, while also benefiting everyone across the platform.

Starting today, July 22, 2026, the new navigation becomes standard across all platforms and is officially included in the accessibility compliance scope.

📖 For the full feature overview of the new navigation, see:

Key accessibility improvements introduced:

  • Clear focus management — improved keyboard and screen reader navigation throughout the platform
  • Toolbar with visible labels — title bar buttons now include descriptive text, improving both accessibility and clarity
  • Harmony Search — access areas directly through the header search, bypassing UI navigation; results are filtered by role-based visibility settings and work across all roles — Admin, Power User, and Learner — each seeing only the pages they have access to
  • Favorites — reduces navigation steps and cognitive load, with meaningful benefits for assistive technology users: fewer interactions, less effort, more control
  • What's New tour — a new guided tour with balloon tooltips introduces users to the new navigation, designed to be fully accessible and navigable via keyboard and screen reader

The new navigation also resolves a number of long-standing platform issues:

  • Reflow and layout fixes — content now reflows correctly at high zoom levels and on smaller viewports, improving readability across different screen sizes
  • Dialog and call-to-action issues — modal dialogs now correctly manage focus and expose proper semantics to assistive technologies; buttons and interactive controls now have consistent, descriptive accessible names
  • Skip to content links — refactored to ensure keyboard and screen reader users can reliably bypass repetitive navigation and jump directly to main content
  • Other minor accessibility improvements across the platform

Expanding Compliance to the Admin Role 🚀

With the new navigation in place, we now have the foundation needed to extend WCAG compliance to the Admin role. Admin compliance will follow the same phased approach applied to the Learner role: starting from a defined scope and expanding over time, guided by roadmap priorities and focused on the areas that deliver the greatest value.

Accessibility at Docebo is a continuous journey rooted in progressive enhancement — every new feature or update builds on existing standards, progressively delivering a more inclusive experience across all roles.

Updated VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates) 📋

We've made significant updates to our Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs/VPATs):

  • Learner VPAT — Two previous ACRs have been merged into a single, unified document covering all learner areas. It reflects all fixes released from December to today, and includes: the new navigation system, What's New tour, Harmony Search and content discovery,
  • Admin VPAT — We're proud to release the very first ACR VPAT for Admin areas. This initial scope covers: Platform navigation system , Launch Pad, Learning Plans management, Catalog management, Content Center (Dashboard, xAPI configuration), E-commerce setup (currency, training credits), and the AI management dashboard.
  • E-commerce VPAT — Remains a separate document, applicable only to customers using that module.

⚠️ Please note: All previous versions of the ACR VPATs are now superseded and no longer valid. Always refer to the latest versions on the Accessibility resources and support page in Docebo Help.

Ongoing Remediation

Alongside the navigation update and VPAT releases, we've continued working through our remediation backlog — addressing issues identified through accessibility audits, real-user testing sessions conducted with UsableNet, and feedback from users and customers.

All progress is visible in the Accessibility Release Notes on Docebo Help.

Let's keep building for everyone! 💙
