Itโs here. ๐
The 2027 Skills Intelligence Report is live, and it looks at what more than 1,000 HR and L&D leaders say about their skills strategy versus what is actually happening underneath it.
A few findings jumped out:
- 75% say they are prepared to reskill or upskill employees for evolving skill demands.
- 96% say role-specific skill requirements are defined across their organization.
- AI literacy is the top reported skill gap, but closing that gap ranks fifth out of six in investment priorities.
- 47% say headcount requests are most often blocked because the budget gets redirected to other priorities, including AI tools.
- HR is often accountable for the skills strategy without fully controlling the budget, tooling, or headcount decisions needed to make it happen.
ย
So here is the big question: what happens between a skills strategy that looks right on paper and one that actually runs efficiently?
