Your feedback is how we make Docebo better, and we’re always working to improve our Ideas Portal. For those of you who have been with us since the beginning, you’ve seen a few iterations, and we’ve learned a lot.

Over the last 18 months, we’ve pushed hard to ship the highest voted features by the community, and the result is more than 45 new features live in Docebo representing nearly 6,000 votes from customers like you.

But we realize our process has still led to frustration around unresolved or outdated ideas, and we need a reset to make sure your voice is heard. To better manage the volume and communications around your feedback, we are implementing a new structured four-step program which will be live July 1, 2026. Our goal is to reduce noise, establish clearer expectations, and ensure that when you share an idea, you know exactly where it stands.

The Four-Step Plan

1. A Clean Baseline

To reduce noise and focus on the most relevant feedback, we have consolidated duplicate ideas and archived low-engagement ideas (those older than 12 months with fewer than 20 votes).

Note: While you will no longer see Archived ideas in the active portal, the ideas are not deleted, they remain fully visible to our internal teams for ongoing deduplication, future merging, and reference as we refine the platform.

2. Product Team Review

Our Product VPs and Managers are actively reviewing every single high-signal idea using our new internal tracking platform to provide clear next steps and real-time updates on open items, directly from the product team.

3. New Expectations

We are committing to a faster, more predictable feedback loop:

  • The 20-Vote Threshold: Once a newly submitted idea reaches 20 votes, it will officially trigger a deep-dive review. A Product Manager will triage the idea and respond directly within 10 business days. You will also now see the number of votes on an idea.

  • Automated Clean-Up: To keep our workspace focused, any ideas that remain below the 20-vote threshold for over 12 months will automatically be closed with an automated message and funneled out of active view.

  • Active Maintenance: Product Managers will update open ideas at least every six months to prevent future backlogs from building.

4. Celebrating "Idea Wins"

We want to better tell the story of how your feedback shapes Docebo. Moving forward, when an idea is delivered, you'll see the voice of the product manager directly in the updates, and we will highlight community-driven features in our official release notes, success highlights, and CSM business reviews.

Updated Idea Statuses

We have carefully realigned and refined our idea statuses to provide total transparency, true accountability, and clean alignment with our roadmap:

Idea Status

Status Details

Submitted

The default starting status. Every submitted idea is visible and can be reviewed, combined, or utilized by Product Managers while it gathers community support.

Open

The idea has hit the 20-vote baseline and/or meets submission requirements, formalizing its entry into active PM review.

Roadmap (formerly Feature Roadmap)

The idea is officially accepted and actively planned for the product roadmap (typically slated for execution within the next 6-12 months).

In Development (NEW)

Work has officially begun! 🚀 This status bridges the gap between design and delivery so you know exactly when our engineering teams are building your feature.

Delivered

The feature is fully built, live, and ready for you to use in the platform!

Closed

The idea did not meet the required vote threshold within 12 months or was closed by a PM with an explanation. Closed ideas remain visible in the portal for a short period so you can read the direct PM feedback before they are tidied away into our internal archive.

Our commitment to your ideas

  • Transparency: Assigned PMs are now required to update open ideas at least every six months. You’ll also see the vote count for each idea.

  • Communication: We will share “idea wins” through release notes and CSM business reviews so you can see your feedback in action.

  • Accountability: If these changes don't resolve the friction you've experienced, we will continue to evaluate the process throughout the back half of 2026 to ensure it remains a valuable resource.

Your feedback is the engine behind Docebo’s innovation; we are dedicated to refining this process and proving the value of your voice, one idea at a time.

We are confident that these changes will allow for an enhanced idea and feedback request experience in Docebo Community. We welcome your feedback and look forward to partnering with you to empower your voice in order to help us build better products.

Please note: These changes impact ideas submitted to the Ideas Portal using the Idea Submission Template only and do not affect feedback provided via the feature cards in the Feature Roadmap. Please continue to search the Feature Roadmap first and provide feedback on the feature cards as normal.

Now this makes sense and I like that the Ideas portal and process for feeding ideas is looked over! 🖖🏻

@erin.brisson what about submitted ideas that are +5 years old but still has more than 20 votes? Are these looked over and adjusted to the new status states as I know there are plenty of ideas submitted that cover some really baseline functions that should be standard things in LMS portals but are missing in Docebo.
