Has anyone else run into issues with connecting to the Content Marketplace in the new (July) version of the MCP?  I’m using Claude and all of the learner & administrative tools work but whenever I try to have it search or interact with the marketplace it has an error.  I’m curious if others see this or if this is possibly something on my end.

Hi @mzirnhelt thanks for raising this!

The Content Marketplace tools require:

  • An eligible Go1 content marketplace subscription.
  • Access to the new Go1 experience, which is being introduced with this release.

If your platform doesn't meet these requirements, calls to the Content Marketplace tools will return an error. When configuring your MCP server, you should enable these tools only if your platform has access to Content Marketplace and the new Go1 experience.

The new Content Marketplace experience is not yet released, so these tools are expected to return an error for now. You can follow this community post for the latest updates on the new Content Marketplace release.

@luca.latini So this won’t function with the Docebo Marketplace content or is Go1 replacing Open Sesame as the provider for thata?

It will work with the new Content Marketplace experience, you can find more information here

@luca.latini I saw that article, but I’m still not clear what Go1 is.  It’s referred to as a “partner” so I had been assuming it is separate from the Docebo library in the same way that LinkedIn Learning or Skilla are in the marketplace today.  Is that correct or is Go1 a reference to the content provide though Docebo?

@mzirnhelt Thanks for asking these questions. Content Marketplace has different content partners (providers) available for customers to use: OpenSesame, Go1, Edflex, Vipre (see our webpage: https://www.docebo.com/products/content/). All content partners and future partners will be moving to this new Content Marketplace experience (being released by Aug 3). The content marketplace curation  tools are connected to the new Content Marketplace experience.

Go1 is the first content partner (provider) who has moved to this new experience, meaning the content marketplace tools via MCP server can be used by customers who use Go1 content in Content Marketplace.

Once OpenSesame has been moved to this new Content Marketplace interface and experience, the MCP content marketplace tool(s) can be leveraged to address questions related to your OpenSesame content subscription.
