Hey everyone 👋

First and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this PDG, whether you shared your use cases, left comments, or took the time to fill out the survey.
The quality of the feedback we received was genuinely exceptional, and it directly shaped several of our design decisions.

We're not sharing dates or videos just yet, but we wanted to give you a quick, honest update: we're heads down, and this summer we expect to be able to share realistic timelines for when you'll be able to get your hands on ERE.

In the meantime, here's a glimpse of where things stand:

Sets of conditions inside a rule
Execution logs

The PDG group remains open, feel free to keep commenting, sharing edge cases, or looping in colleagues. Every piece of context helps.

More soon. 🙏

Domenico

Am I reading this right? 60 conditions in a set? Nice. HAs any thought been given to augmenting the actually operators in the sets so they more closely match those if the user management filters? That would be a huge lift.

Very interested in this update.  The existing Enrollment Rules didn’t retroactively apply the rules. So every new learning plan required manual enrollment unless the learner re-qualified through the group rule( removing and adding them back to the group).

I hope this will also be considered, since we are launching a program that will start with 5 learning plans and will grow to about 30 - 50 learning plans in the next 2 -3 years. It would be great to have the enrollment rule automatically enroll learners in the group when we add the new learning plan as a resource to the rule.

@lrnlab just to clarify the numbers: it's 20 conditions per set and up to 60 sets per rule, so the flexibility is enormous when you combine them!
Regarding augmenting the operators to more closely match the user management filters: it's under technical evaluation. Could you share a specific example of an operator you'd find particularly useful? That kind of concrete feedback really helps prioritize the roadmap. Thank you in advance!

@ldlmcoitrg Happy to read that!
You're pointing at exactly one of the core pain points ERE is designed to solve.

With the new engine, every scheduled run performs a full recalculation: ERE evaluates all active rules against the current state of users and resources. This means that both new users who start matching a rule's conditions AND new learning items added as resources to an existing rule will be automatically picked up and enrolled on the next execution, no manual intervention needed.

No more dependency on groups at all, enrollment conditions are defined directly within the rule itself, so the entire logic lives in one place.

Every run produces a fresh, deterministic picture of who should be enrolled in what, and acts on it.

@domenico.carboni Thanks for clarifying. We would love to be included in the Beta testing once available. :)

Hi @domenico.carboni yes for sure...an example when using filters to search a text field under user management looks like this:

While in Groups, we only have these options:

Would be extremely helpful to have these additional operators. As well, we would need better options for dates such as a dynamic option that can maintain or calculate time; for example, “date + [number of days] like we have as options in reports to always have the same date range in the report outputs.

Example of report date options:

Thank you.

Another useful function would be the ability to assign content based on a user’s role. Training could be assigned to everyone set as a Superadmin, or Power User. This is currently a gap in automatic groups.
