that learning object will always be marked complete on launch. If you need something that leave the user “in progress” until you can mark the course as completed, we use a SCORM file with the same instructions and link you have in the HTML page but have it set so it does not mark the object as completed on launch.
Not sure how you track completions (a report from the CE system that is then manually marked as completed..???) as this may add additional admin work. If you prefer to create some thing more automated, you could add a 2nd object like a 1-question test that the user can sign off to attest they have completed the course; or you could create an Assignment learning object and ask them to load their completion certificate for evaluation (which would then mark the object (and the course) as complete).
Hope you find something helpful here...
Yeah, I think I’m going to create a Rise360 course that just has a link to the course materials. It will look cleaner than what we have now and I can make sure it doesn’t mark the course complete.
We were initially asking our learners to upload certificates, but they were struggling to download and upload their certificates, so we abandoned that method. I created an Observation Checklist that acts as a placeholder until I can pull the completions over from CE Unlimited. I’m doing it manually right now, but our IT team just finished creating a webhook for us that will pull those completions over automatically. I’ll still need the Observation Checklist, which is hidden so that the learners don't see that piece and think they need to take action.
This has been an ever-evolving setup as we learn what Docebo can do and how our learners are interacting with the content. It’s getting smoother with each evolution!
