Building a document repository without DCS

Hi,

Curious about those that have leveraged their instance to create a light document repository without DCS. For example, I have put 5 video widgets on a page...and I guess it could be thought of as a very simple very rudimentary repository for video.

I would imagine that you can support people looking at learning materials via the search, but you would be driving people to Courses in one form or another to look at documents that support your learning.

Or? Am I wrong? Do you make links to documents that live elsewhere (which seems barbaric)?

This is actually a thing I find missing in general from the platform. A better dedicated content/file management area than just the central repository to allow different levels of sharing/mixed use between courses and pages and search and sharing. There’s a lot of pieces available but not quite there.
