Can we anonymize user identity in the Comment/Forum/Discussion?

Our users log in using their company email addresses as the Single Sign-On identity. We’ve noticed that when users post comments in the Forum/Comment widgets within the courses, their usernames appear as their company email, which reveals their identity. As we work with multiple clients, it is essential to maintain user privacy and ensure that their identities remain hidden from on another. Is there any way we can anonymize these usernames, without having users manually create a identity-hidden username? Is it possible to randomly generate usernames for the forum purposes? Any insights, recommendations would be appreciated!

We’ve considered using that functionality, but similar to you, we have individual learners and learners from different clients so it’s not appropriate to show their username/company email.

Hello,

In our case it appears only the full name.

If I’m not mistaken the change that we did is in Admin > Advanced settings > users.

Here I have “Show full name” and then we removed “”use email as username”.

I hope it helps.
