I scheduled a report to be sent to a distribution list (group) in Outlook with about 150 members. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be working. I’m wondering if it should be working and if it’s not (bug) or if it’s not possible. Does anyone have any suggestions for sharing reports with a large number of users?

As far as I know, reports can only be sent to a valid email address. Perhaps if you had a shared mailbox instead of a group it would work. Can’t recall if a group in Outlook actually has an email address associated with it.

...looked it up and from what I can tell about what outlook does is that it parses out all the emails in the group which may be why it’s failing as the limit for reports is 25 email addresses.

Maybe ask support if they know of a way to achieve this. Would be a good tip to share.

I confirmed with support, who completed additional testing, that you cannot schedule a report to be sent to a distribution list. Instead, they advised to send to a shared inbox, then create a rule to forward it from there.
