I want to create a certification “program” that provides a clear learning path for a group of learners to follow, but also allows for some choices in completing the required elements that leads to a specific “certification.”
For instance, I want to be able to do the following where A-K are a mix of Learning Plans, E-Learning Courses and Instructor led courses.
A+B+((D or E) or (F or G))or(H+I+J)+K = Certification
This would allow a more consistent global structure, while still allowing for some regional differences in our business.
is there a way to do what I described?

@Jeff Knowlen We create a certification course shell for instances like this. Then we use groups to find whatever combination of courses you have to auto enroll the user into the certification course shell when they meet whatever criteria you are looking for. Then it’s just a matter of marking everyone as complete in that course. Most people will do it for you by accessing the training material, which is a pdf about how to add your certification to your LinkedIn profile. We don’t put the course shell in any catalogs so no one can find it unless they are auto enrolled. The downside is that it’s another course for each certification.
You can also put them all in a Learning Plan and add the certificate to that.

We had the same frustration today, when trying to grant a certificate after 4 LPs were completed. This workaround worked great, just wanted to say thank you 3 years later!
A great work around:
Users that complete all of the requried courses are added to automatic user Group for Certificate.
Members of that Certificate user group are enrolled in a new course via an Enrollment Rule which is also linked to a notifcation...
...Which is riggered, a digest notifcation that they are enrolled in the course, we did both email and in platform. Note: Have the schedule turned off, change the language to say something like "Congrats! You've earned your certification. Click here to download", added a custom logo on theme for the certificate, etc..
The link takes them into this new course, that is just an HTML page saying similar "Congrats...” and directing them to the download button. Note: The cert is applied to this course.
Viewing that HTML page in the course is all that is required for completing the course note: Ensure the course only has the HTML page and that “Autoplay” is on so that the course is instantly completed and the cert made available.
Certifcate is available.
From a user POV it is seemless. They complete the 4 LPs, get an email or in app notification in less than a minute. They click the link, are in the course and the cert is right there to download.
