Certifications not updating

We have eLearning modules that need to be renewed on a annual basis, every two years etc so we have certifications for them. Users get notified 4 weeks and 1 week prior to the certification expired date and 1 day after it has expired. All notifications include the link to the certifications page in the system. I then go into the system a week later and archive the completion if they have not completed it yet this is so it doesn't show as complete moving forward again they receive a notification.

I have noticed some users certifications are not automatically updating but their completion date is in the actual course. I have looked at everything and I can’t find a common reason for it. Most of the courses and learning plans have validity periods set but they have soft deadlines so this shouldn’t affect it as far as I am aware.

Has anyone else experienced something similar or know why this might be happening please?

If I can’t work it out my only option is to download a report on a weekly basis of completions for those courses and manually update the certificates.

If users do not use the “renew” button, the certification will not update. When archiving courses manually, I noticed they do not “connect” to or are read by the certification as having been completed. I have already raised this as an issue with Docebo but we havent seen any changes or updates to how manual archiving connects to other parts like certifications, equivalencies, etc.

Thank you for your response, I wasn’t aware they didn’t connect but it makes sense.
