Hello, I am putting together a compliance course that all employees must complete and I have a question about tracking completion. We need to make the course available in multiple languages, and I have videos of the course in each language. All of our employees need to complete one of the courses in their preferred language. I’m wondering if it’s possible to set up a learning plan to be marked Complete if a learner completes only one course within a learning plan that contains multiple courses.

I can also build one course that includes links to each of the videos, but I am short on time, so I thought it might be easier to have separate modules (one for each language), and as long as an employee completed one of the courses (along with passing a quiz at the end), they would be marked as having completed the training.

I would appreicate any insights anyone has on this topic. Thank you!

Before you spend time trying to build a complex Learning Plan structure, you can actually achieve exactly what you are asking for using native Docebo features designed for this scenario.

Option 1: Course Equivalencies (Fastest for your current setup)

To answer your specific question: Yes, you can set up your training so that completing one course marks the others complete. You do this using Course Equivalencies. Simply link your different language courses together as "Mutually Equivalent." When an employee finishes their preferred language course, the other language courses automatically mark as completed, which immediately triggers the completion of the entire Learning Plan.

Option 2: Certifications (Best for Compliance)

Alternatively, instead of a Learning Plan, you can assign all of your language courses to a single Certification. Docebo's certification logic dictates that completing any of the assigned courses awards the overall certification to the learner.

What usually works best long-term:

When I've deployed multi-language compliance training for organizations with similar requirements, the pattern that holds up best for user experience is utilizing a single multi-language SCORM package within one Docebo course, allowing the learner to select their language inside the file. However, since you mentioned being short on time, configuring Course Equivalencies (Option 1) is the quickest way to get your current separate modules working exactly how you want today.
