Course Catalog Only Shows as Enrolled and Subscribed but not Completed

Hi there, 

We group our courses into catalogs so that learners are able to enroll themselves into whatever training they prefer. Unfortunately, the status only shows as enrolled or subscribed so it’s difficult for learners to know which courses they have completed within the catalog. They only know if they are enrolled in the course. Does anyone know if there’s a way to change this to also show if they completed the course? Otherwise, they have to go into the course to see if they have completed it.

We had the same issue and our workaround was to use catalogs only for setting visibility and to use channels (part of Coach & Share) for browsing or displaying on a page using the channel widget. 

Catalogs and Channels both have their own pros and cons but we preferred Channels because those do show the completion status.  Another perk to using channels is that users can choose to “Follow” a channel, with an option to receive notifications (if you set those up) when new items are added to the Channel.

Thanks so much ​@sjennings78. Unfortunately, we are pretty far down the catalog path to switch gears now. Regardless, it’s an interesting alternative for future courses. I especially like the ability to send notifications when new courses are added.
