Course code

Hi

I am looking for help with course codes, we currently have a great course code structure, and we are also trailing some external content and I would like to to show the course code as this is the only element that differentiates the course from internal and external. For example external courses I want to use the same course code structure however it will have an X after each code. This allows leaders to identify this is an external course and not all of their people will have access so there for they must check.    Is there a way to show course code when viewing courses ? ( i know they can see it in their activities however they may not have completed the said course)

I only see the unique course code generated by Docebo, not the course code. You could add your code to the description or directly into the title as an alternative.

I agree but cannot think of any other way to get that to display as you described. Maybe look into whether some CSS could help you out?

We utilize what Docebo system generates; however, we have our own course structure as well.  We use “D” for direct customers and then we use “P” for our partner courses.  Hope this makes sense.

Hi Monica,

yes I can totally resonate with the structure and I have adapted similar.

For internal use we are trailing other content an di want the content to sit in the right area along with other content, however if managers want to allocate learning I want to ensure they are aware what is the new trial content and you cannot do this unless you place in course title etc. This is the reason i would like users to see the course code.

One idea is to provide a list for this in the Discover Coach and Share. We have a document in our platform detailing all the courses we have currently available as well as listing our legacy content which is courses we no longer have open for enrollment.

I have a reoccurring report I utilize which is sent directly to my e-mail with the information. I then quickly sort it in the excel document using the course codes to show e-learning, ILT, and legacy courses and add them to tabs to make it easier for other users. This take about 5 minutes to complete.

Then, upload it for users to find in the channel that works best for you. Once you have it in a channel, you could also grab that channel link and add it as a widget on a page if you have on visibility only to leadership so they can see it and have direct access along with visibility to it.

If you don’t have Discover, Coach and Share, you can also link it to an external webpage using a link to a document on Teams or Sharepoint so others can navigate directly to the content.

Hope this helps!
