I want to be able to create a course equivalency between “Course A” and “Course B” and I want to create an equivalency between “Course B” and “Course C.” However, I do NOT want Course A and Course C to be equivalent.

Is there a way to do that?

you can make the equivalency 1 way only but if your logic states that completing course B is equal to Course C and course B is also equal to course A, you cannot say that course is not equal to course A. The double equivalency on course B is the issue

@Jeff Knowlen - a proposal - you may want to try to play a container game to get to where you want here.

If you setup a learning plan with Course B inside of it? And you enroll a person into said Course A? It will (should) mark itself as completed when the equivalent is triggered.

Use that LP learning object as an “equivalent flavor” to Course C.

Downside to the approach, you may need to mashup reports then to cover your your LP C and your real Course C to get your desired result. But in this way? Your equivalents wont have that bi-directional sense to it.
