Do badges get awarded when an admin marks a course as completed?

I’m testing out the badge functionality, so I set it up so it auto assigns when all of a set of courses are completed. I then enrolled myself in the 2 courses and then went and marked myself complete. The badge isn’t showing.

Does anyone know if the manual “completion” of a course breaks this functionality? Or maybe I’m doing something wrong. 

I did check that the badge was published and visible to all. If I click on my badges it shows I have none though it shows the one that is available to earn.

    hard to say without seeing your set-up. Do you appear in the list of assigned users on the admin side?

    you might want to try the automatic assignment...I find that’s much easier to manage and use.

    @lrnlab I do have it setup as automatic assignment. No, I am not on the list of the assigned users.

    And I assume that under Availability, it’s open to everyone or at least the ID you are suing for testing?

    Yes, it says Default (All Users)

    hmm, maybe try using the branch your test user is located in to see if that may be part o the issue.

    That’s odd...not my experience at all...you should probably open a ticket if you havent already.
