Does Docebo VILT for Teams sync attendance from Teams to Docebo?

Does that therefore mean that it doesn’t track how long they spent in the webinar? So they could launch the event, be marked as having attended, and then leave after a minute?

Hi Ian, from my understanding and experience with the platform, you are indeed correct. A way of checking this is exporting the attendance records from Teams directly and cross checking them with the data provided for attendance in your platform.

The cross-referencing is exactly the sort of double work I would hope to avoid via an integration, so this is leading me to think that the work of configuring Docebo VILT for Microsoft Teams is not worthwhile and we should consider alternative means of streamlining this.

Hi ​@Ian, we’re running into the same issue on our side with the Teams integration. Did you figure anything out from either a setting within the sessions/events, or within the Teams integration? Would be great to know if there’s a workaround that would eliminate the manual work of cross-comparing. Thanks!

We haven’t actually executed on this yet, ​@jfiala, but we’ve discussed with Docebo and it is possible to sync attendance durations from Teams via the Microsoft Graph API. Which in our case we plan to do through Docebo Connect later this year, but note that this will be a substantial investment both in time and money.

Hello! Wondering if the inability to track actual user minutes has be resolved? It seems that from what I’ve been reading the only way to verify actual minutes spent is for the instructor to be using their own account rather than be a user under a general VILT connection account. Is my understanding correct?

Our implementation project using Docebo Connect is nearing an end, ​@TrishAH. The built-in integration is not any closer to supporting this otherwise, to my understanding.

Incidentally, the main reason the project is still ongoing is largely due to internal delays on our side; for their part Docebo Professional Services have been very helpful, and we’ve learned a lot along the way.
