Duplicate course

Hi all

Can someone please provide a solution here?

Users complete the online module and a skills assessment (observation checklist) which is marked by a DM marking the course as completed.

Users must complete the course annually. If they have been working and using the skill, the observation checklist (OC) does not need to be redone.

Issue: The course remains marked as "in progress" and users' names remain in the DM's To Do profile for the observation checklist.

Solution?  How do I create a duplicate course specifically for annual recertification without the observation checklist, so when a user selects renew now on their tasklist they land on the correct course?

Thanks

If you remove the option in the Certification app that allows users to “retake the same course for renewal” you can then add the course without the OC to the list if courses they can take to obtain their cert. I recommend testing thoroughly to ensure it works the way you want it to.

Thanks @lrnlab - you are always so helpful.

Essentially, a duplicate course is still required?

Yes, that’s what I found when I tested...make sure to test it thoroughly. The one part I cannot recall is whether those that have never started the Cert will have the option of either course or not.
