Hi Community! Hoping someone can shed some light on this.

We have 2 courses that have custom notifications configured to be sent to our internal branch for the following:

  • at time of enrollment
  • user has yet to complete the course

However, learners are receiving duplicate notifications for both events. I have cehcked the notifications associated with the courses and it matches the one group of custom messages. The one course is particularly confusing as it is brand new and has ONLY been associated with it’s own customer brand new set of notifications.

 

Has anyone else experienced this and know how to fix?

Is this an ILT course? Which ones are being duplicated? Are you saying that users are getting the :enrolled” + the “learner has yet to complete” at the same time? If yes, it may be that the latter notif is set to far in the past; it is based on the enrolment date so check the settings to see if that notification is being sent too early.

I prefer using the Course has expired email but you need to set a due date (active until date) to get those to work.

I’ll take a look at that, thanks! We typically do not like putting expiry dates on our courses but I can look into this more as an option in the future if all else fails.
