Is it possible to create a forum within a course that is only shown to certain learners? For one of our institutes we divide up the learners into groups for their capstone project. We want to provide a space for each capstone group to discuss their project that is closed to only those learners. I have seen the Cohort option within channels but I believe that is only for Q&A. 

You can do that with Channels and Groups/Cohorts but not on the Forum widget. May be a good idea to post.
