Greetings!

We have recently run into the issue:

  1. User is in the LMS in under branch A.
  2. When we try to import this email address (as username and email address) into the LMS as a Power User it errors out because they are already in the system.

We’d like to make it so the user can access the assets in both branches (one is for an extended enterprise if that matters).

Thanks for any help.

If I am reading this correctly, you can accomplish this by assigning both Branch A and this new branch as a resource for the power user.

Hi Janette. Thanks for the suggestion, but I was only referencing Power Users as the person role that would be doing the import since doing so seems to “catch” errors versus performing the import as an admin.

The users that I would like to be able to access assets for multiple branches would mostly be regular users.

A user can only exist in a single Branch, but if you’re trying to give access to courses as a User, you should be able to grant them access to any Catalog, even if it’s normally in use by a different branch.  You would be able to assign it either based on a group that the user is in or just to that user specifically.
