Is there a way to create only numeric field in the user registration page?

I wonder if you can use the Fiscal Field for this. According to its defnition:

This field allows you to add a unique code, such as Tax ID Number or unique string of numbers (originally created as the Codice Fiscale number for Italian customers) as the additional field value.

It seems that it should work as any string of numbers.
