Is there a way to have a page that groups by catalog & channel?

Currently we have Catalogs for various skills (technology, leadership, etc) and are using Channel tags for Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced.  I know I could have a widget to show each channel separately, but is there also a way to have it only show a specific Catalog?

There’s no filter in the Catalog Widget for Channel or filter in the Channel widget for catalogs.

I’m open to custom HTML if someone can help with suggestions to get me started.

The catalogue widget can be configured to show only a single catalogue if you wish

But I can’t show channels on that same page, can I?  I don’t see any way to layer multiple filters together. I have a feeling this is going to just take multiple catalogs (like separate catalogs for Technology-Basic, Technology-Intermediate, Technology-Advanced)

Sorry not sure I follow you. You can add a Channel widget alongside your catalogue widget on a page. What are you referring to when you say you want to layer filters?

Each widget can be set-up with its own filter. Are you looking for some kind of pre-filtered listing?

As an example, I have a Catalog called Technology; and channels called Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.  If I add a Catalog widget it will show all 3 channels together.  If I use the Channel widget it will show for any catalog.  I’m hoping for a way I can show just a specific Catalog & Channel at the same time.

Not sure how you are getting catalogues to appear in the channel widget and vice versa. You should be able to configure your widgets for any catalogue or channel using the catalogue and channel widgets respectively. You cannot display a channel using the catalogue widget and vice versa. Did I understand you correctly?

Right, I can’t. I was hoping there was some way to combine Catalogs & Channels on the same page.

OK so want to have a page that shows a single widget that would include both your catalogues and channels? That is not possible unfortunately as they are two separate entities. I would suggest you create a custom page for those topics and then add your catalogue widget with your IT courses and your channel widgets for those resources. That’s probably the most direct solution without diving into creating an entirely custom page as you mentioned above.
