Hello all!
My organization grants certifications in specific subject matters, which contain a mixture of eLearnings, webinars, and ILTs. In some cases, there are equivalent courses - for instance, a learner can take an ILT OR an eLearning. For this, we have set up equivalencies, where the eLearning and the ILT are equivalents to a “shell” course inside of the learning plan. The shell course exists since we are using Dynamics to send over enrollment info, and the choice of eLearning vs ILT is done on our eCommerce site.
The shell course is an ILT with no sessions, and this works great for marking things complete, but our learners click on the shell course and become confused about how to access their equivalent course. We’ve put in instructions that the course of their choice is in their main dashboard, but this is still not enough. Is there a way to lock users out of clicking into the shell course, but still have it within the learning plan for completion? We are hoping that learners would read in the learning plan info that their equivalent course is in their dashboard and if they can’t click on the shell, they’ll get the message that what they see in their learning plan is just to track within the plan.
If you have any other suggestions for this, we’d love to hear it - we’d like to avoid having two separate learning plans due to our Dynamics integrations.
