List of statuses for certifications

Sorry if this has been asked before - I have had a search and I haven’t been able to find a list of all the possible statuses associated with certifications. I know there are the below certification  statuses, but I wanted to check if there are any other ones that could come up in our reporting:

  • Active
  • Expired

As far as I know those are the only 2 statuses available for certifications. Renewing is an action, not a status.

I think there are technically three certification statues that can occur:

  • Active
  • Expired
  • Archived (This status will only appear on your reporting if you select that you want to see Archived Certifications from the Filters tab when building your report.  They represent old records that were overridden by a renewed record that is more current.)

I will add that I have noticed when I pull a report for Certifications that if the certification was issued that same day, the “Record Status” field is blank.

For example: The User takes a course at 9am.  The report is run at noon.  On the report, there is a row for the certification record with all the other information, but the Record Status field is blank.  If I run the report the next day, it will have updated to say “Active.”

Thanks, that’s really helpful. We are new to Docebo and are considering building a dashboard in Power BI or something similar to combine the course enrolment data and certification data for our compliance training, until the new certification learning plans feature is available. I’m not sure exactly what we’ll use to get the data out of the platform, but wanted to get an idea of what statuses there are.

It sounds like we might need to set something to select the most recent certification record so that it's not returning archived data, but excluding that it sounds like everyone with a certification for the compliance courses will either have an Active or Expired certification status.
